March 8, 2026 - Chris Figaretti

In Walking With Jesus – Part 5, we explore one of the most famous moments in Jesus’ ministry: His first miracle at a wedding in Cana (John 2:1–12). What seems like a small, local problem—running out of wine at a village wedding—becomes the moment when Jesus quietly reveals His glory for the first time.

Before the crowds, before the controversy, before the cross, Jesus steps into an ordinary celebration and transforms water into wine. With a single act, He rescues a family from humiliation, blesses a community celebration, and signals that the long-awaited Messianic age has begun.

This miracle reveals something powerful about who Jesus is:

He is generous. He is attentive to need. And He delights in bringing transformation where people least expect it.

But Cana also raises deeper questions—about obedience, about God’s generosity, and about how followers of Jesus navigate the good gifts of God in a broken world.

The miracle of Cana reminds us that Jesus still transforms lives today. If He can turn water into wine, imagine what He can do with a life surrendered to Him.
